Charles L. Little

Charles L. Little, 85, of Hemphill, formerly of Houston, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, in Hemphill.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Tom Mosley officiating. A reception will be held following the service at Yesterday’s.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Scotty Ferrier, Ricky Hughes and Dustin Rainwater.

“Charley” was born March 28, 1933, in Abilene to Leonard and Theo Little. He married Ruth Ferrier in Abilene in 1953. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army before starting his career. Charley had a 34-year career with Shell Oil Co. He began as a roustabout and retired as production superintendent of the Onshore Division in Houston. He then became the vice president of production for Greenhill Petroleum Corp.

Charley was preceded in death by his son, Dan Little.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years; daughters Charla Little, Christy McNinch and husband, Andy and Robin Little; son Mark Little; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Joann Gregory and husband, Marshall and Nona Mosley and husband, Tom.
