Taking Care of Business: Snack, shop, meet and greet

If you’re looking to snack next week, there’s no shortage of events where you can get a quick bite and more importantly, support local businesses.

Drop in to one of the following:

  • A celebration and ribbon cutting for White Heat boutique, 119 W. Main Street, on the square in Decatur is Tuesday. The event is 4 to 7 p.m., and the ribbon cutting is at 5 p.m. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. There will also be drawings and free gifts.
  • Wise Health System Auxiliary invites the public to join them for refreshments 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the WHS cafeteria, 609 Medical Center Dr., in Decatur. Find out what the auxiliary does and how to volunteer.
  • Wise Health Clinics Family and Sports Medicine is having an open house and ribbon cutting 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The clinic is at 2202 U.S. 380 in Bridgeport.
  • Brandi’s Country Kitchen, 112 West Walnut Street, in Decatur will be open the night of Oct. 6. The restaurant is usually open only during the day but will offer a limited menu 5 to 9 p.m. They’ll have live music 5:30 to 8.

Nugget withdrawals are hard, y’all. We’re back in the double digits of wanting. It’s been 12 days since Chick-fil-A’s last appearance in Wise County.
