Take cover!

The Nerf Fest Mobile Tour is coming to Decatur.

On Sept. 18, the mobile unit will set up in the Walmart parking lot from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Kids ages 8 and up (and adults!) will be able to test the latest gear and their marksmanship skills on a pair of NerfBlaster target practice ranges.

This is a partnership with Walmart and Hasbro. It’s free to come shoot things with the foam bullets, but if you purchase $25 or more in Nerf products, you’ll receive a free tour T-shirt that can be customized right then and there.

I don’t think you can find anything more fun than this on a Tuesday night in Decatur, Texas.

I’m distracted as I write this. I’m thinking about chicken sandwiches.

Chick-fil-A. Will be in Decatur. Tonight.

High-five to Hey Sugar candy store for making this happen! They’re hosting a movie night on the square, starting at 7:30 p.m., and they’re bringing in the Chick-fil-A food trailer for refreshments.

It’s a Wise County dream come true.

So bring your appetite, a chair and blankets and pillows to settle in for a fun night and showing of “Toy Story.”

Days without Chick-fil-A in Wise County: 250.

But we’re about to break the cycle.
