A mobile home on County Road 4845 in Newark caught fire around 2 a.m. Friday.

Newark Volunteer Fire Department Captain Ed Hawthorne said the blaze started on the front porch then moved into the living room.

The middle section of the mobile home was a total loss, with heavy smoke damage on either side.

Rhome, Boyd, East Wise, Haslet, Briar and Eagle Mountain fire departments responded to assist Newark.
