Volleyball roundup: Decatur, Boyd remain unbeaten in district

The Decatur Lady Eagles owned the net Tuesday night against Sanger.
Led by five blocks from Satasha Kostelecky and four from Madison Lowery, Decatur tallied 15.5 blocks as a team in the three-game sweep of Sanger.
Decatur won 25-16, 25-15, 27-25 in moving to 2-0 in District 9-4A.
Along with her dominance defensively, Kostelecky hit .429 and buried seven kills with only one error in 14 attacks.
Decatur hit .202 as a team with Makenna Gantt handing out 16 assists.
Mallory Downe had six helpers.
Gantt and Autumn Finney led the Decatur attack with eight kills apiece. Harper Lowery and Trinity Vinzant landed seven kills each.
Cidnee Howard made 29 digs.

Boyd def. Jacksboro
The Boyd Lady Yellowjackets rolled to their 29th straight district win Tuesday, beating Jacksboro in three games.
Boyd (25-6) hit .289 in winning 25-11, 25-9, 25-12.
Jordyn Todd buried 10 kills, hitting .400. Macee Valtr added nine kills and Laney Pellegrini six.
Tori Pellegrini handed out 16 assists and Macey McCune 15.
Defensively, Shaylee Martin blocked four shots and Jacey Cate three. Larrin Maxwell made 16 digs.

Henrietta def. Paradise
The Paradise Lady Panthers fell to Henrietta in three games Tuesday, 25-18, 25-22, 25-11.

Graford def. Alvord
The Alvord Lady Bulldogs slipped to 3-3 in District 9-2A with a four-game loss to Graford 14-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.
Christina Thomas landed 12 kills. Kinly Walker finished with nine kils and 18 digs.
Kendall Connolly handed out 24 assists.
