Volleyball roundup: Decatur, Boyd, Northwest, Bridgeport pick up wins

Satasha Kostelecky owned the net Tuesday night.
The Decatur junior racked up 12 kills in just 26 shots, hitting .423 in the Lady Eagles’ three-game sweep of Chisholm Trail (25-22, 25-23, 25-16).
Kostelecky also blocked six shots in helping the Lady Eagles to 16-10 on the season.
As a team, Decatur hit .164 with Makenna Gantt handing out 20 assists. Mallory Downe doled out 11 helpers.
Gantt also finished with eight kills. Autumn Finney had seven kills.
Defensively, Tayte Helton made 27 digs. Finney had 22.

Northwest def. Haltom
Rylie Anderson buried 12 kills in 18 attempts as the Northwest Lady Texans hammered Haltom in three sets (25-15, 25-21, 25-14).
Kori James added 10 kills for the Lady Texans’ efficient attack. Northwest hit .208.
Analise Lucio tallied 25 assists and made 10 digs.
She also had five kills and three aces.

Boyd def. Ponder
In their final tuneup before the 8-3A opener, the Boyd Lady Yellowjackets took down Ponder in four games.
Boyd won 19-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-11.
Macee Valtr led the Boyd attack with 18 kills, hitting .366. Jordyn Todd added 13 kills.
Macey McCune recorded 20 assists and Tori Pellegrini 19.
Larrin Maxwell made 27 digs.

Saint Jo def. Alvord
Saint Jo outlasted Alvord in a wild, five-game match Tuesday.
Saint Jo won 19-25, 28-26, 25-20, 19-25, 30-28.
Alvord dropped to 8-7 heading into 9-2A play Saturday.
Alvord missed 18 serves in the loss.
Kinly Walker and Christina Thomas landed 16 kills apiece.
Walker also had 41 digs and two blocks.
Kendall Connolly handed out 33 assists.

Godley def. Paradise
Paradise Lady Panthers fell to Godley in their final non-district match Tuesday, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.
Gracie Barnett netted eight kills. Harley Mayfield landed seven.
Saylea Mayfield handed out 16 assists and Kennedy Schneck nine.
Barnett made 22 digs and Ashley Kosman 15.

Bridgeport def. Pilot Point
The Bridgeport Sissies took down Pilot Point in four games Tuesday.
Bridgeport won 25-12, 28-30, 25-15, 25-13.
Kristen Grooms led the Bridgeport attack with 11 kills, hitting .310.
Haley Barton added seven kills and served six aces.
Emily Vidal made 41 digs.
