For the past three years, Kristin Rasbury has been a powerful force in the Boyd Lady Yellowjackets’ lineup.
Rasbury, 8-3A and Wise County MVP last season as a junior, hit .389 with seven homers and 40 RBIs in leading Boyd to the area round of the playoffs. Rasbury also went 8-11 in the pitching circle with 77 strikeouts.
Before heading into her senior season, Rasbury has decided on her plans after high school, signing to play at Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark. Rasbury was recruited as a middle infielder.
She was one of eight players signed by the Division II in the fall signing period. Henderson State competes in the Great American Conference.
“I really liked the college and it’s a really great opportunity to play softball at the next level,” Rasbury said.
“I look forward to playing softball and building relationships with teammates and coaches.”
For her career at Boyd, Rasbury is a .392 hitter with 69 RBIs and 30 extra-base hits. Her on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) is 1.072. Last year, she posted an OPS of 1.226.
