Kinly Walker turned in a pair of gems in the pitching circle Tuesday as Alvord swept Muenster in a double-header.
Walker held Muenster hitless over five innings in the 10-0 victory in the first game, striking out seven with three walks. In the second game, Walker limited Muenster to two runs on four hits with four strikeouts in five innings of the 12-2 victory.
Alvord piled up 13 hits, including seven extra-base hits in the first game. Katelyn Schedcik doubled twice and knocked in two runs.
Maley Mader’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth ended the game. Mader drove in the three runs.
In the second game, Brittney Gayler started a three-run second with a RBI-single. Gayler drove in three runs and went 2-for-4 with a triple.
Walker and Randi Taylor added triples.
