Softball: City View upends Paradise

City View capitalized on five Paradise errors for five unearned runs in a 6-2 victory over the Lady Panthers Tuesday.

City View scored four runs in the fourth.

Paradise managed only two runs on eight hits. Kaycee Martin went 3-for-4 with a triple.

BOYD 22, NOCONA 4

The Boyd Lady Yellowjackets moved within a victory of clinching a postseason spot with a 22-4 win over Nocona Tuesday.

Kristin Rasbury drove in seven runs, going 3-for-4 with a triple. Lindsey Thorpe and Kristen Whatley added three RBIs each.

Thorpe blasted a home run.

COLLINSVILLE 13, CHICO 1

Collinsville scored eight runs in the fifth inning to beat Chico 13-1 Thursday.

Laynee North went 2-for-3 for the Lady Dragons.

The playoff-bound Lady Dragons fell to 9-4 in District 12-2A.

KRUM 13, DECATUR 0

Krum’s Tristan Bridges held Decatur hitless over five innings in a 13-0 victory Tuesday.

Krum broke the game open with five runs in the fourth inning.

ARGYLE 6, BRIDGEPORT 4

Argyle scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to rally and beat the Bridgeport Sissies 6-4 Tuesday.

Courtney Cline, Morgen Davidson and Hailey Hollingsworth had two hits apiece for the Sissies.

Ashton Vanhoose belted a home run.

ALEDO 2, NORTHWEST 0

Aledo scored a run in the third and added one in the fifth to pull off a 2-0 win over the Northwest Lady Texans Tuesday.

McKenzie Middlebrook and Kelsey Rhine had a hit each.
