Juan Amador and Miguel Olmos scored goals and Eric Aguilar made an overtime clear to force the 4A soccer title game last week to penalty kicks against Kilgore.

The trio earned honors on the 4A all-state tournament team released Sunday.

Bridgeport fell to Kilgore in the title game 3-2 after Kilgore won the shootout 4-2. Kilgore’s Kaleb Jett made two saves in the shootout to earn MVP.

Olmos scored on a penalty kick in the first half to cut a two-goal deficit in half. Amador found the equalizer in the 29th minute.

Aguilar’s strong defense kept the game tied throughout the second half and overtime.

The three Bridgeport players were joined by Kilgore’s Elian Torrest, Yonaton Contreras, Mateo Meraz, Progreso’s Fabrizzio Gonzalez, Anthony Vasquez and Houston Washington’s Nelvin Bonilla and Lester Valeriano.
