“I felt I did great. It was exciting to finish off my senior year with a medal,” Redwine said.

Redwine also medaled as a sophomore, finishing fourth.

“She’s the first girl in Chico that has medaled twice,” said Chico coach Tim Mynarcik.”

In her final meet, she lifted 340 on squat, 210 on bench press and pulled 340 on deadlift.

For her final deadlift, Redwine attempted 370 in an attempt to move up to third. She pulled the weight up but couldn’t complete the lift. She ended up 20 pounds back of third.

“She went for it on the last one,” Mynarcik said.
