Instead of preparing for their first-round playoff game, the Victory Christian Patriots are packing up for the season.

After losing three players to injuries in recent weeks, the Patriots did not have enough players for a playoff game this week.

“There’s not enough players to put on the field,” said Victory coach Joe Berry.

Victory finished the season at 4-2. The Patriots dropped their second straight game last week to Haslet Heritage 76-39.

“It was a good year. We were better than anticipated,” Berry said. “It was tough sledding when we got to the end of the season. We played two very seasoned teams. We were playing with three seniors and a bunch of freshmen.”
