Paradise looks to extend its win streak to three games when it faces Breckenridge at home Friday.

The Panthers are coming off a bye week. Prior to that, they beat Early 28-0 Sept. 29.

“It was probably our most complete game,” coach Ronnie Gage said. “We’ve gotten better every week.”

After getting off to a slow start, Paradise (2-3) is gearing up to face its first district rival in Breckenridge, a team that hasn’t won a game yet this season.

“It’s kind of like looking in a mirror,” Gage said. “They’ve played an extremely tough non-district; we played a tough non-district.

“They’re physical, big up front. We’re going to have to dig in and play physical.”

Gage said the Panthers’ performance against Early, led by a breakout game from defensive back Clayton Fulkerson with five tackles for a loss and a dominant offensive line, has given the team momentum as they head into district play.

“We feel like we’re still in the hunt,” Gage said.
