Victory Christian’s Logan McNamara had a special night last Friday on and off the field.

McNamara was named the school’s homecoming king and found the end zone nine times in the Patriots’ 57-40 win over Cornerstone Christian of Granbury.

McNamara scored on runs of 38, 3, 3, 2, 53 and 34 yards. He finished with 206 yards rushing. He added touchdown catches of 50, 40 and 35 yards. He also returned an interception for a score.

McNamara was part of an overall strong performance for the Patriots. Jackson Shriver caught a touchdown of 60 yards.

“We played really good overall,” said Victory coach Joe Berry. “We got the running game going. Our blocking really has come around. Our receivers are blocking well, along with our center and linemen, to help our running backs.”

The Patriots hit the road Friday to take on the Hill School of Fort Worth at South Hills High School. Hill is 0-5 on the season.

“Last year they were really big. It took a little while to get going against that size,” Berry said.
