Wilson Hicks

Decatur, junior

The Eagles signal caller threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns in Decatur’s win over Gainesville Friday. Hicks also ran for three scores and had 77 yards on 12 carries.

HONORABLE MENTION

Beau Bedford … Decatur … The receiver caught five passes for 73 yards and a TD.

Reggie Contreras … Paradise … He rushed for 122 yards and a score on 10 carries.

Jadon Maddux … Bridgeport … The Bulls quarterback ran for three TDs and threw for another.

Prince Mavula … Northwest … The Texans’ signal caller threw for 261 yards and ran for 132.

Tanner Richey … Alvord … The back rushed for 103 yards and three scores.

Nico Starnes … Chico … The Chico back ran for 147 yards and two TDs.

Colton Waters … Bridgeport … The receiver hauled in seven passes for 185 yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tyler Estep

Alvord, sophomore

The Bulldog made two tackles for losses and recorded a pair of sacks in Alvord’s big win over Olney Friday. Estep also had a quarterback hurry.

HONORABLE MENTION

Harrison Haney … Decatur … He returned an interception for TD and was in on eight stops.

Ryan Roberts … Bridgeport … The linebacker made 13 tackles in the Bulls’ win over Vernon.

Braxton Roth … Decatur … Playing with a knee injury, he made four tackles for losses, forced two fumbles.

Trey Valentine … Paradise … The defensive back returned a pick for TD and made eight tackles.
