A week after the Boyd Yellowjackets stopped a 13-game skid, Holliday’s Justin Jones made sure they didn’t get a second straight win.

The Holliday back ran for 143 yards and five touchdowns on just eight carries against the Yellowjackets in the Eagles’ 49-7 win.

The Yellowjackets will try to have a short memory and bounce back when they travel to Tolar Friday to take on the Rattlers.

Tolar ran over Hico 48-11 last week to get to 1-1. The Rattlers dropped their opener to Crawford 26-6.

In two games, Boyd has given up 516 yards rushing.

Along with improving their run defense, the Yellowjackets must jumpstart their offense. Boyd managed only 94 total yards against Holliday.

Boyd quarterback Kody Risenhoover was 4-for-14 for 25 yards with an interception.
