Basketball: Jackets take down Bulldogs

The Boyd Yellowjackets downed the Alvord Bulldogs 62-54 on the road Tuesday behind a game-high 20-point performance from Reuben Rodebaugh.

Boyd held Alvord to just eight points in the first quarter but trailed by one at halftime, 30-29.

The Yellowjackets used a big fourth quarter to eventually come away with the win, scoring 19 in the final frame to put the Bulldogs away. Blake Rodgers finished second in scoring for Boyd, adding 15 points of his own in the victory.

Senior guard Pierce Warren had a team-high 16 points for Alvord in the defeat.
