Baseball: Paradise takes two at Brock

The Paradise Panthers earned a split over four games at the Brock Tournament last weekend.

The Panthers dropped the finale to Grandview 7-5 to fall to 6-6 on the season.

Paradise beat Maypearl 2-1 and fell to Brock 2-1.

The Panthers started the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Mineral Wells. Bryson Meyers struck out five and allowed two runs – one earned – on four hits in six innings.

Brad Young took the hard-luck loss against Brock allowing a run on three hits with four strikeouts in five innings.

Mikey Passariello threw a one-hit gem, allowing a run over five innings with six strikeouts against Maypearl.

Matt Whalen and Young picked up RBIs.

Against Grandview, Patrick Dorado and Young drove in two runs each.
