An open letter to the property owners and/or registered voters of Wise County:

Wise Citizens for Property Rights Inc. (WCPR) was born out of a forced annexation attempt by the city of Bridgeport.

Out of this non-profit organization has come a petition drive to have the commissioners court of Wise County call an election in November 2018 pursuant to Senate Bill 6, which was signed into law in 2017 by Gov. Greg Abbott.

A successful election would establish Wise County as a Tier 2 county under SB 6. A Tier 2 county is a county where affected property owners in a forced annexation get to vote concerning the proposed annexation of their property.

While WCPR was formed in opposition to a proposed forced annexation by the city of Bridgeport, our petition drive affects the entire county. We are Wise County!

Cities don’t have rights. People have rights!

We ask every registered voter in Wise County to rally to WCPR. Our mission is as American as apple pie or baseball. You should have the right to vote concerning the annexation of your property!

We look forward to your affiliation with WCPR, whether it be circulating a petition, placing a petition in your business or just signing our petition.

You may connect with us on Facebook at facebook.com/wisecpr. Our hotline number is 940-435-7506.
