Democrats fueled race issues

The Democratic Party is the home of slavery (Dixiecrats), segregation, Ku Klux Klan (a secret society organized in the South after the Civil War to reassert white supremacy through terrorism), and refusal to sign the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act.

Do you think we should “pull down” the Democratic Party also?

  1. Excellent idea!
The statues they’re pulling down were Democrats too.
And shouldn’t W. Virginia have rename everything in that state named for Dem. senator Robert Byrd? He was a big wig in the KKK after all.
Slick Willie and all the Dems jes’ loved that guy!

But we don’t hear a peep from WCM reporters about ANY of that.
    Nada.

The historical illiteracy is strong here. The GOP has been the party of racism since the Southern Strategy, and under Trump, even they’ve stopped denying it. But if you’re really interested in repairing race relations, work to reform the GOP. Not that it really matters to me. The demographic shift in this country is happening incredibly quickly, and not to your benefit. As the baby boomer generation passes on, Texas will turn Blue, and the GOP will never win another national election. Trump lost this one by 3 MILLION, how bad do you think the GOP is gonna fare in 2020, when more of their base has passed on, and more Democratic voters are eligible to vote? That’s why the GOP going so far to the Right makes no sense politically, but it makes sense in that they’re in their death throes.
