The Wise County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the person or people responsible for a series of thefts in the northeast part of the county.

Wise County Sheriff’s Investigator Mike Neagle said someone entered a compressor station on Farm Road 455 west of Farm Road 51 in the Greenwood/Slidell area multiple times last month. The thefts took place during the overnight hours.

Copper wire has been stolen from the location.

Surveillance video captured at least one of the thefts. That video was posted this week on the Wise County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The video shows what appears to be a man dragging away wire. It does not show a vehicle.

To report information about the theft or the identity of the suspects involved, call Crime Stoppers of Wise County at 800-643-TIPS(8477) or 940-627-TIPS(8477). Calls may be made 24 hours a day, and you will remain anonymous. Facebook comments are not anonymous.

Crime Stoppers will pay for the first, most accurate tip received.
