Pets won’t feel left out of the Halloween festivities at Bridgeport’s Barktoberfest Saturday.

From 9 a.m. to noon, bring your cats, dogs and any other pets to downtown Bridgeport for the first Barktoberfest. The pet parade, led by Mayor Randy Singleton, starts at 9:30 a.m. on Halsell.

There will be a pet costume contest at 10, a pet and owner look alike contest at 10:30 and a tricks for treats contest at 10:45.

Watch agility and obedience demonstrations, kiss your pup in a pet kissing booth and shop pet vendors on Halsell during Barktoberfest.

Bring canned cat food, dry dog food, disinfectants or treats to donate to the Bridgeport Animal Shelter and receive two raffle tickets for a chance to win a pet bed.

DJ Apollo will provide entertainment, and there will be a slide and bounce house, food trucks, photo booth and balloon animals for the humans.

Marshall from Paw Patrol will have a meet-and-greet at the festival.
