Bridgeport Police Department is seeking information about a theft at a car wash in the 700 block of U.S. 380.

Lt. Todd Low said security cameras show a man breaking into the payment machine at 2 a.m. Oct. 13.

“We have several leads we’re working on,” he said. “At this time we’re not sure how much money was stolen.”

Low said the vehicle in the video appears to be a four-wheel-drive, four-door white Dodge pickup from the mid-2000s. The bottom panel of the pickup is either beige or gray.

The same suspect also hit Eagle Car Wash on Farm Road 51 South in Decatur the same morning, according to Decatur Police Chief Rex Hoskins. Security video shows the same man trying to break into the payment machine between the hours of 1:30 and 7 a.m. He was not successful.

“It’s the same guy, same vehicle,” Hoskins said.

Investigators are now seeking the help of citizens. If you have information related to the individual or theft, call Low at 940-683-3430 or email tlow@cityofbridgeport.net. You may remain anonymous.
