Tommy Rhea, 70, of Runaway Bay, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in Runaway Bay.

Memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur with Dr. Tommy Brumett officiating.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements.

Tommy was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Borger to Joe and Wanda (Derrick) Rhea. He married Carolyn Juanita Moore Oct. 28, 1970, in Borger.

Tommy retired as a special education director of Wise County schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur, the Masonic Lodge and Bridgeport Lions Club. He was a former Runaway Bay City Council member and played Buffalo Bill Cody in the Off 380 Player’s production of “Annie Get Your Gun.”

Tommy is survived by his wife of 46 years; daughter Autumn Carpenter and husband, Chris, of Kingwood; son Dylan Rhea and wife, Briana, of Costa Mesa, Calif.; grandchildren Aidan and Charlie Carpenter; his mother; nephew Russell Rhea and wife, Denise, of Borger; and friends.
