Raymond Eugene St. John

Raymond Eugene St. John, 83, of Chico, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Robert Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Cumby Cemetery.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Carvel St. John, Mark St. John, Chad St. John, Trustin St. John and Larry Marshall.

Raymond was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Bowie to James Wesley and Annie (Rich) St. John. He married Cora Martin April 30, 1954, in Weatherford. Raymond was a truck driver for Coffman Tank Truck until his retirement. He was a member of the Living Waters Church in Chico and a member of the Moose Lodge in Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cora St. John; daughter Patricia Hill; and sisters Mary Jo and Wanda.

He is survived by his sons, Dawayne St. John and wife, Lois, of Bowie, Randell St. John and wife, Christi, of Montague and David St. John of Chico; grandchildren Carvel, Mark, Chad, Trustin, Chris, Krystal, Tamara and Leah; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Dan, Jerry, James, Rubin, Bobby and Alvin; sisters Shirley, Linda, Ethelene, Helen and Lois; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
