Rachel Dee Ince, 44, of Bridgeport, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, in Decatur, after 10 years of various health problems.

Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Decatur Church of Christ with Mike Wiltcher and Craig Jordan officiating.

Rachel was born Feb. 23, 1973, in Denton to Ray and Tonnie (Rankin) Shipley.

When she was 2, the family moved from Alvord to Alice , where they lived until 1992. During the years in Alice, she was involved in the school choir, basketball and 4-H.

From age 9 to 18, she was deeply involved in 4-H and spent many hours training and showing lambs. She won many ribbons in lamb shows over the years, and during her sophomore year in high school, she won grand champion lamb at the Jim Wells County Annual Fair. She also helped her sisters with their lambs and indicated she wanted to be a veterinarian.

In 1992, the family moved back to Alvord. She married Christopher Dee Ince Sept. 3, 1993, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Alvord. Rachel worked for Decatur ISD for 17 years as a special needs bus driver, forming an extremely strong love and attachment to all the children she cared for.

She was a member of The Bridge Church in Bridgeport, and she loved to be surrounded by her dearest friends. She was also an avid Texas A&M fan.

Rachel is survived by her husband of 24 years; daughter Cortney Rae Ince; son Dillon Ryan Ince of Bridgeport; her parents; sisters Jodie LaRae Shipley of Alvord and Samantha Rae Brooks and husband, Kevin, of Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.
