Myrna Ruth White, 78, of Chico, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, in Fort Worth.

Memorial service was Aug. 7 at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico with the Rev. Mike Miller officiating.

Myrna was born Dec. 23, 1938, in Alto to Walter and Vera Ruth (Dawson) Sprague. She married Roland White Dec. 3, 1954, in DeSoto, and they were married 62 years. Myrna was a member of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

She was “Memaw” to every kid she came in contact with, especially in Chico. Myrna was known as the “coffee thief” among her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Myrna is survived by her husband; son Walter White and wife, Cindy, of Chico; daughters Barbara Kay and husband, Jimmy, of Chico, Teresa Kaiser of Bridgeport, Cynthia Bronson of Alvord and Janice Williamson of Eagle Mountain; sister Shirley Weaver of Chico; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kenneth Copeland Ministries or Morris Memorial United Methodist Church of Chico.
