Michael Green

Michael Dee (Mike) Green, 71, of North Richland Hills, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, in North Richland Hills.

Service was Aug. 7 at Greenwood Chapel with Paul Davis officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mike was born June 18, 1946, in Marion, Ind., to William T. and Delight Dee Oyler Green. He received his associate’s degree from McClendon College in Waco.

Mike served with the First Cavalry Division as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam from 1967-1968 and as an instructor at Fort Wolters from 1968-1969. He earned the Bronze Star, Air Medal with 36 Oak-Leaf clusters, the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association.

Mike retired from Quick Wash Coin Services after 30 years as a supervisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Sue McMullen Green; and son Jasper Lynn Green.

He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Patricia Woolaver Green; sons Thomas Delbert Green, Kalynn Deon Green and Michael Shae Green and wife, Marianne; grandchildren Brandon and wife, Stephanie, Cindel, Kaylie, Darrion, Matthew, Jeremy and Blaze; cousin Sue Burnsworth and her husband, Larry, of Marion; and many other friends and family members.
