Jimmie Dean Williams

Jimmie Dean Williams, 81, of Greenwood, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, in Greenwood.

Graveside service was Sept. 26 at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Wilhelmi, Kirby Stubbs, Austin Stubbs, Cooper Gore, Ronnie Elliott and Colton Cassaday. Honorary pallbearer was Jeff Stubbs.

Jimmie was born May 24, 1936, in Whitesboro, Okla., to Luther and Hester Williams. He was the neighborhood handyman who always fixed different projects for local children. He dearly loved his family and dogs. Jimmie had a big heart, but he also had a big temper. He owned his own drywall contracting business for many years. He dearly loved his wife Linda, taking care of her until her death, and then he met Dana and successfully joined the two families.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda Kay Howerton; and son Gary Wayne Williams.

He is survived by wife, Dana Elliott-Williams; son Ronnie Elliott; and daughters Laura Williams Stubbs and husband, Jeff, Amy Gore, Melissa Williams Wilhelmi and husband, Michael, Sarah Stevens and husband, David, and Shellie Blakely.

He is also survived by grandchildren Kirby Adam Stubbs and family, Austin Lane Stubbs, Bailey Marie Brock and family, Cooper Gore, Colton Cassaday and Corbit Cassaday; beloved couple, Brandon Culbertson and Amy Brison; numerous family and friends; and dogs Bubba, Dottie and the rest of the pack.
