Fletcher “Gene” Larrow, 84, of Runaway Bay, died Friday, May 12, 2017, in Grapevine.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Sam Caldwell of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport officiating.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Gene was born July 18, 1932, in Middlebury, Vt., to Otto and Winifred (Eubar) Larrow. Gene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. He was very proud of his time in the United States Army, from which he retired. He later worked for, and retired from, the U.S. Postal Service and served on the Runaway Bay City Council.

Gene is survived by his sons, Stephen Larrow of Valley Mills, Michael Larrow and wife, Sandra, of Waco, John Larrow and wife, Kristy, of Azle and Michael O’Brian and wife, Vicky, of Corpus Christi; daughter Tracy Brister of Americus, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
