Candelario Pacheco, 78, of Decatur, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, in Fort Worth.

Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church with Father Thomas Dsouza officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements.

Pallbearers are Elpidio Pacheco, Santiago Pacheco, Gustabo Pacheco, Rolando Pacheco, Eulojio Pacheco and Omar Pacheco.

Candelario was born March 4, 1939, in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Concepcion and Antonia (Dominguez) Pacheco. He married Maria Juana Dominguez March 16, 1960, in Jerez. Candelario worked as a horse rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; sons Jesus, Elpidio, Santiago, Concepcion, Gustabo, Rolando, Eulojio and Omar; daughters Maribel Villareal, Herlinda Godoy, Esmeralda Villareal; 51 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother Pedro Pacheco of Jerez; sisters Josefina Pacheco, Felicitas Pacheco and Consuelo Pacheco, all of of Jerez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
