Bobby Howard

Bobby (Bob) Reece Howard, 89, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Granbury.

Memorial service was Sept. 11 at Acton United Methodist Church.

Bob was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Nocona to Clyde and Pauline Howard. He coached throughout Texas and influenced hundreds, if not thousands, of young men and women in a positive way.

After he retired as an educator, he became quite active as a rancher and was associated with the Beefmasters Breeders United Association until he moved to Granbury.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Evelyn Howard; daughter Cindy Wellman and husband, Mike; sons Joe Howard and wife, Vicci, and Tom Howard and wife, Carol; brother Mike Howard and wife, Martha; sister Mary Kelly; grandchildren Jeff Howard and wife, Carla, Spencer Howard, Kullen Howard, Jake Howard, Elise Looney and husband, Travis, Leah Wellman, Sharon Mooney and husband, John, and Tina Wellman; and 14 great-grandchildren.
