Billy Ray Bramlett

Billy Ray Bramlett, 92, of Decatur, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Decatur with David Lowrie and Van Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Preskitt Cemetery.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements.

Pallbearers are Mason Hudson, Michael Reeves, Joshua Reeves, Sean Reeves, Brenden Kerby and Trey Wadlington.

Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Pate, Richie Pate, Steve Pate, Joey Rodell, Jeff Rodell and John Rodell.

Billy was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Decatur to Bill and Ola Bell (Collier) Bramlett. Billy was a musician and retired state barber inspector. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. Billy served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gwendolyn Joy Bramlett; and son Rodney Moore.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ren Bramlett Claxton of Fort Worth and Stacie Rae Bramlett Hudson and husband, Michael “Buba,” of Decatur; son Clint Mathew Moore of Buffalo; grandchildren Michael Reeves, Joshua Reeves, Mason Hudson, Eric Hudson and Gwendolyn Harper; great-grandchildren Sean Reeves, Madison Reeves and Makena Reeves; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wise County Veterans Group and Relay for Life of Wise County.
