Billie Harvey

Billie Edgar Harvey, 90, of Alba, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, in Tyler.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba with the Rev. Byron George officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Pallbearers are Rusty Sherwood, Brent Sherwood, Jonathan Ralph, Ethan Ralph, Paul Cole, William Cole, Randy Crunk, Earl Green, David Cole and Billie Skiles.

Billie was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Alba to John Henry and Lula Harbin Harvey. He served the army during World War II in Japan and lived most of his life in Wise County. He moved back to Alba in 1996. Billie was an office worker for Mitchell Energy Corp. for 11 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers O.L. Harvey, Walter Charlie Harvey and John Henry Harvey; and sisters Ruby Sadler, Gracie Nutt, Ethel Pope, Bessie Prather, Jewell Wood, Elsie West, Mary Dell Holland and Atrell Cole.

Billie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
