Alfred C. Pittman

Alfred “Al” C. Pittman, 74, of Alvord, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, in Alvord.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Alvord Cemetery.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements.

Pallbearers are Dale Pittman, Ray Temple, Keegan Shannon, Alvaro Arreola, Troy Cooksey and Scott Craft.

Al was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Sunset to Charlie and Eula (Whitson) Pittman. He married Billie Pearson July 9, 1964, in Lake Worth. Al retired as a mechanic. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry Pittman; and sister Mary Kenon.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years; daughters Stacie Ferrell of Fort Worth and Paula Garner and husband, David, of Bowie; son Allen Pittman of Alvord; granddaughters Aubree Pittman, Shawna Ferrell, Aleshia Ferrell, Morgan Mayfield, Karsen Pittman and Landri Garner; grandsons Corey Ferrell, Tanner Pittman and Ridge Garner; great-grandson Liam Ray Arreola; brother Anthony Pittman and wife, Eva, of Springtown; his trusted companion, dog Korkie; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
