The Bridgeport Sissies couldn’t slow down the District 9-4A leading Argyle Lady Eagles Tuesday.

Argyle swept Bridgeport (14-15, 0-4) 25-8, 25-8, 25-15.

Bridgeport coach Jennifer Ragland said the team was playing short-handed.

“We were missing one of our middle blockers and had to move girls to different positions,” Ragland said. “We didn’t adjust until about midway through the third game. We really put things together for the last part of the third game. I am always proud of these young athletes for continuing to work no matter the score.”

Abbi Hatton paced the Sissies with five kills and three blocks.

Courtney Cline added four kills.

Katie Hudson handed out six assists and Jacquelyn Bailey five.

Natalie Smith made seven digs.

Bridgeport took on Gainesville Friday in the final game of the first half of district. The Sissies take on Decatur Tuesday.
