Softball: Boyd rolls past City View

The Boyd Lady Yellowjackets piled up six runs in the third inning on the way to a 10-1 victory over City View Monday.

The Lady Yellowjackets improved to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in District 9-3A.

Kassiddy Lester and Amber Bowen doubled twice and drove in two runs each. Kristin Rasbury went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI.

Rasbury held City View to a run on seven hits. She struck out four and walked three.

The Lady Yellowjackets beat Jacksboro 16-0 Friday, piling up 17 hits.

Payton Salmon drove in three runs, going 3-for-4 with a double.

PARADISE 5, HOLLIDAY 1

Kendall Candioto held Holliday to a run on three hits with five strikeouts Friday in a 5-1 victory.

Brooklyn Davis knocked in three runs and tripled.

Christina Tipton added a triple, going 2-for-3.

ALVORD 30, TIOGA 0

The Alvord Lady Bulldogs scored 20 runs in the first inning and another 10 in the second, beating Tioga 30-0 in three innings Friday.

Mikena Mader struck out all nine batters she faced in a perfect game.

Mader also hit a home run, going 2-for-4 with six RBIs.

Reagan Guthrie recorded an inside-the-park homer. She had three RBIs. Ashton Peterson brought in four runs.

Alvord moved to 4-0 in District 12-2A.
