Soccer: Northwest starts 3-0

Emily Worley limited Frisco Lonestar to two hits over six shut-out innings Tuesday in a 6-0 season-opening win for the Northwest Lady Texans.

Worley struck out four.

Kelsey Rhine pitched an inning in relief.

Rhine and Izzy Milligan drove in two runs and each doubled.

Northwest added a pair of wins Thursday at the Little Elm Tournament, beating Little Elm 14-3 and Irving MacArthur 18-0.

Tara Hilton doubled twice and drove in three runs against Little Elm.

Hilton had six RBIs against McArthur.

BROCK 5, PARADISE 0
PARADISE 10, TOLAR 0

The Paradise Lady Panthers started the season with a split on the opening day of the Brock Tournament Thursday.

After a 5-0 loss to Brock, the Lady Panthers shut out Tolar 10-0 in four innings.

EATON 4, BRIDGEPORT 0

The Bridgeport Sissies finished with four hits but couldn’t get a run across against Eaton in the season opener Tuesday.

Eaton plated runs in the first and fourth and two in the fifth for the 4-0 victory over the Sissies.

Hailey Hollingsworth limited Eaton to four hits in seven innings, allowing one earned run. She struck out one and walked four.
