OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Syrus Moore
Northwest, senior
In his fourth game at running back, the converted receiver rushed 207 yards and two touchdowns in the Texans’ 61-19 win over Eaton.
Moore also caught a pass for 29 yards.

HONORABLE MENTION

Wilson Hicks, Decatur: The quarterback threw for 308 yards, 2 TDs.

Payton McAlister, Decatur: The back found the end zone 5 times, rushing for 115 yards.

Tristan Sims, Paradise: The back rushed for 131 yards in the Panthers’ win.

Nico Starnes, Chico: The sophomore ran for 2 scores and caught another on homecoming.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Logan Ellis
Chico, sophomore
The Dragons’ defensive back made eight solo tackles, broke up a pass and recovered a fumble in Chico’s homecoming victory over Diamond Hill-Jarvis.

HONORABLE MENTION

Harrison Haney, Decatur: The junior made 9 stops, two for losses and recorded a sack.

Tyler King, Northwest: The senior linebacker recorded nine tackles and broke up a pass.

Chase Williams, Bridgeport: The safety made 10 tackles and broke up a pass.
