Baseball: Jackets win five at Windthorst

The Boyd Yellowjackets rolled through the Windthorst Tournament, going 5-0.

Boyd (8-2) piled up 43 runs in five games, outscoring its opponents by 28 runs.

Boyd beat Stamford 5-4 with Clay Barnett driving in two runs in the five-run fourth inning.

The Yellowjackets blasted Lake Worth 15-4 with Hayden Ford knocking in five runs. Colton Meadows and Creighton Witt added three RBIs.

Colton Bruce and Witt finished with a pair of RBIs in an 11-6 victory over Windthorst.

Boyd closed the tournament with a 12-1 win over S&S. Michael Spinelli held S&S to a run on three hits in four innings.
