Johnny Callan

Johnny Callan, 17, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, in Palo Pinto County.

Funeral was Nov. 29 at Jacksboro High School gymnasium with the Rev. Frank Hefner, Rev. Eugene Weldon and Rev. Jerry Fulton officiating. Burial followed at Los Creek Cemetery.

Johnny was born Feb. 2, 1999, in Fort Worth to Kerri LeDoux and Joe Callan. He attended Jacksboro High School where he served his FFA chapter as president; was the Area IV FFA president and was a Ford Leadership Scholar at the state level. He would have been the valedictorian for the Class of 2017.

Johnny was loved and treasured by all who knew him. He was passionate, committed, dedicated and talented at everything he did. Most of all, Johnny was caring, compassionate, kind and loving. Words cannot describe the incredible person he was. He will be missed and loved forever.

He is survived by his mother, Kerri LeDoux and husband, Gus; father Joe Callan and wife, Nia of Decatur; brothers Grant LeDoux and Beau Spears; sister Alexis Callan; grandparents Jimme and Lelia Cozart, Johnny and Verna Callan and Rick and Linda Heitzman.
