Allen “Doc” Rogers

Allen “Doc” Rogers, 59, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in Sunset.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, in the drawing room of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Doc was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Robert and Gail (Ritenour) Rogers. He moved to Bowie in 1989. Doc was in prison ministry, a pastor for Iron Horse Church in Bowie and a motorcycle mechanic. He owned Doc’s Hawg Clinic, and he used his motorcycle shop to bring people to Christ.

Doc was president of Bikers For Christ Biker Ministry and he participated in the Wise County Toy Run. He married Dee Ann Christensen April 11, 2015, in Chico.

Doc is survived by his wife, DeAnn Rogers of Sunset; daughters Amy Cunningham and husband, Craig, of Bowie, Crystal Hetfield and husband, Larry, of Indiana, Atarah Kirkland and husband, Bryan, of Bowie, Ariel Rogers of Lubbock and Amariah Rogers of Rhome; parents Robert and Gail Rogers of Elkhart, Ind.; brother Mike Rogers and wife, Mary, of Elkhart; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
