The Bridgeport Sissies struggled to get their offense going in a loss to Springtown to start District 8-4A play.

Springtown won 25-9, 25-14, 25-16.

Bridgeport (6-22, 0-1) tallied 15 kills with Natalie Smith landing five. Ally Raby and Abbi Hatton had four each.

“Out of system play hurt us,” said Bridgeport coach Rebekah Cummings. “We did some uncharacteristic things on the court that we need to address before our next game.”

Katie Hudson handed out seven assists and Kendall Scott five.

Defensively, Morgen Davidson made four blocks. Smith dug seven shots. Hatton finished with six digs.
