Caitlin Pruett and Kayler Talamantes scored 15 points each as the Slidell Lady Greyhounds took down Tioga 59-30 Tuesday.

Slidell (23-4) moved to 11-1 in District 21-A and stayed tied atop the league with Forestburg with two games to play. The Lady Greyhounds took on Midway Friday and finish the regular season with Prairie Valley Tuesday.

Forestburg took on Gold-Burg Friday and closes the regular season at Bellevue.

Against Tioga, Slidell opened the game on a 14-5 run and built a 30-16 halftime lead. The Lady Greyhounds put the game away with a 22-6 run in the third.

In spite of four players finishing in double figures, Slidell coach Cody Vanover said it wasn’t the team’s best night.

“We didn’t shoot the ball real well, but it’s a district win and we will take it,” Vanover said.

Pruett grabbed six rebounds and had five steals. Talamantes swiped four steals and four boards.

Jessy Goode posted a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Kylie Franklin put in 10 points with five rebounds and three steals. Kayson Roof contributed four points with three steals.
