JURY FINDS ANDERSON GUILTY – After a quick, one-day trial, Daniel Ray Anderson, 32, was found guilty Tuesday afternoon of possession of a controlled substance in an amount less than one gram, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Anderson will be sentenced by the same jury Wednesday morning. He was arrested July 31, 2012, at a mobile home on County Road 3341, near Paradise, where he rented a room, after Wise County Sheriff’s Dept. Investigator Chad Lanier went there with two other officers to talk to him about a stolen tractor. They found a .22 rifle, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of drugs in his bedroom. Anderson had a previous conviction for failure to register as a sex offender. Read more in the midweek Wise County Messenger on newsstands today.
