Two people were inured in a car wreck on FM 2264 today when the driver lost control of the car and flipped the vehicle into a ditch on the side of the road.

Timothy Paul Dennis, 19, and Justice Marie Sampson, 18, were traveling east on FM 2264 when Dennis, the driver, swerved the car to the right to avoid a rock in the road. He then overcorrected and pulled the car to the left, causing it to flip and roll of the side of the road into a ditch around 1:30 p.m.

Dennis suffered neck injuries and Sampson suffered back and spinal injuries. Both were on their way to Wise Regional Health System at 1:50 p.m.

State trooper Patrick Alonzo said that speed may have been a factor, but that the overcorrection was the main cause of the wreck.
