CHISHOLM TRAIL RODEO – The Chisholm Trail Days Rodeo is today and tomorrow at the Wise County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 6 p.m., and performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 and are available at AGvantage Farm and Ranch. A rodeo dance with Jake Hooker and the Outsiders will follow the Saturday rodeo. WESTERN FESTIVAL – A western heritage festival is 2-6 p.m. tomorrow on the Wise County Courthouse square. There will be live music, gunfighters, vendors, kids activities and a rodeo parade at 5:30 p.m. Call 940-393-0340.

REGISTRATION CONTINUES – Registration for fall classes at Weatherford College Wise County continues 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday (with late registration fee applied). CASA TRAINING – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Wise and Jack Counties will hold training 6-9 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 11. Dinner is provided. Register before Monday by calling 940-627-7535.

DR. WHO CELEBRATION – Decatur Public Library is having a party 4-6 p.m. today to celebrate the new season of “Dr. Who.” They will show “The Time of the Doctor,” last season’s finale, make rice crispy T.A.R.D.I.S models and sample some Who-themed teas. Dress as your favorite character or just come as you are. No sign-up required. The event is for students entering grades 6-12 in the fall.

GARAGE SALE - The Bridgeport Cheer Team will hold a garage sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today at 2110 Overland Dr. to raise money for their Disney trip in December.

BLOOD DRIVE – Best Value Rhome Pharmacy will host a Carter BloodCare Blood Drive 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at 400 S. Main St., Rhome. Walk-ins are welcome.

POOL PARTY – A back-to-school pool party for sixth, seventh and eighth graders is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Bridgeport City Pool. Advance tickets are $3 and are available at city hall and the city pool. Tickets at the event are $5. Call 940-683-3480.

MEET THE EAGLE – Decatur High School will offer hot dogs and photos with the Regal Eagle for free at 6 p.m. Saturday. Bring your own camera for pictures. Organizations will sell their Eagle products and T-shirts. Meet the Eagle will begin at 7 in the high school gym. Everyone needs to sit on the home side. Coaches, staff and athletes will be introduced at that time.

PARK SPRINGS REUNION – The Park Springs Homecoming and Reunion is Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Victory Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 4346 N. Texas 101 in Park Springs.

FUNERALS – Service for Sharon Haysen Harvey, 67, of Decatur is 10 a.m. today at Decatur Church of Christ with graveside service at 2 p.m. at Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale. Coker-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

FUNERAL for Mark Lee Adams, 54, of Boyd is 2 p.m. today at Coker-Hawkins with burial at Boyd Cemetery.

GRAVESIDE service for Lea Ann Meador, 51, formerly of Decatur is 2 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery. Coker-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

SERVICE for Vera Cocanougher, 98, of Decatur is pending at Coker-Hawkins.

NO SERVICE is scheduled for Stephen Marvin Taber, 68, of Azle. Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd is handling arrangements.

FUNERAL for Charles Sims, 89, of Newark is 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Newark with burial at Dido Cemetery. Family visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Christian-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

SERVICE for Giuliana Rodriguez, the infant daughter of Mauro Rodriguez and Maribel Rohan of Chico, is pending at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

MEMORIAL for Jo Celeste Adcock, 83, of Chico is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico. Hawkins-Bridgeport is handling arrangements.
