A major leak at the Bridgeport water plant Thursday morning has left the city without water. Community Relations Manager Amber Fogelman said the leak was reported about 8:30 a.m., and as of 11:15 a.m., the water towers could not be filled. The plant has been shut down for repairs, and Fogelman said the city will likely be without water until at least 10 tonight.

Superintendent Eddie Bland said the school district will likely release students early today, but a final decision has not been made.
