Boil water notice lifted

The City of Bridgeport’s boil water notice has been lifted.  The notice had been in effect since last Thursday’s major water leak, and another on Friday, left the city without water for parts of three days. The city is still asking residents to conserve water. “The towers are making progress daily thanks to your efforts,” said Community Relations Manager Amber Fogelman in an emailed statement Tuesday. “Please be conscious of your water usage as we continue to get them filled and avoid any activities that use large amounts of water. Also, please be aware of your usage during peak times of the day (before work/school, lunchtime and after work).”
