A Lake Bridgeport woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 380 and Farm Road 1658 in Bridgeport.
Margaret Aden, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene, and her husband, James Aden, 78, was transported by PHI helicopter to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Bridgeport Police Sgt. Ricky Schwartz said according to hospital authorities, Mr. Aden is expected to survive.
Police Chief Randy Singleton said the accident occurred when a Toyota Tacoma pickup traveling westbound on U.S. 380 ran the red light at Farm Road 1658, also known as Lake Road. The pickup, driven by Zachary Sloan, 33, of Breckenridge, hit the Adens’ Chevrolet Tracker, which was traveling southbound on 1658 through the intersection.
